Call to Artists Entries are now being accepted for the upcoming juried exhibit Birds of Prey at Mass Audubon’s Moose Hill Gallery. The most widely known of these birds include: hawks, eagles, osprey, falcons, buzzards, vultures and owls. Artists are asked to submit their perceptions and views of these captivating ambassadors of flight. Any medium is acceptable.
Artists are invited to submit up to five 8”x10” photo prints, not matted or framed, for judging purposes only. If selected for the show, all artwork needs to be framed appropriately and ready to hang. All prints must be labeled on back with contact information, dimensions, title and medium.
Deadline: August 9, 2016
Entry fee is $15.
Provide a stamped return envelope if you would like your photos returned. Submissions can be dropped off or mailed to:

The Zullo Gallery in Medfield, MA is holding their 22nd Annual Juried Exhibition from September 17th through November 5, 2016.
Entries must be submitted by Monday, August 15, 2016. It is $20 for 3 items. They can be mailed in on CD, flash drive, or prints or they can be emailed in.
Selections will be done by August 27th.

IMPORTANT UPDATE!! DATE CHANGED TO AUGUST 13th 2016!!
Attention all plein air artists!
We will be holding our next plein air event on August 13th, 2016. We will meet at The Blackstone Gorge on County Street, Blackstone, Massachusetts, at 11:00 AM. There will be an artist demo and talk and we will take a short break and paint the rest of the afternoon.
Bring a lunch and we will find a local facility we can use.

This plein air event is free to BVAA members as well as for residents of the town of Blackstone. The cost will be $40 for anyone else interested.
We will then incorporate these paintings in our second Show at Daniel’s Farm on September 11, 2016 for the Claflin Symphony outdoor concert. We can discuss further plein-air non-instructional outings in Blackstone if anyone is interested.

Called into our cyanotype show at the Booklovers Gourmet, 55 E. Main St, Webster MA to take some pics. Great display and a very interesting shop! Had a great chat with three locals who were fascinated by the cyanotype pictures.
