Being a BVAA member is a wonderful opportunity to meet and socialize with artists of varying skill levels and mediums. Each year we host several members-only shows to showcase your works.
Members receive our frequent e-newsletter which tells of upcoming meetings and guest demonstrators, upcoming shows and exhibitions both regionally and nationally, member news (exhibits and awards), and other events sponsored by the association such as workshops, field trips, and art shows. Members receive discounts from our sponsors.
Many of our members are highly accomplished and belong to such organizations as the Academic Artist Association, Rockport Art Association, North Shore Art Association, Hudson Valley Art Association, Rhode Island Watercolor Society, and American Watercolor Society to name a few. Members’ works have been featured in American Artist Magazine and The Best of Oil Painting.
Every year the Blackstone Valley Art Association holds over 100 shows, workshops, seminars, plein airs, field trips, and other events. It is a testament to our encouraging, active community that we all help each other thrive. Please look for ways to support our artistic group, whether it’s through attending receptions, sharing links to our activities, lending a hand at an event, or even offering a seminar on something you like to do. All levels of artists from beginners to experienced have something to offer us all!

BVAA 3-Ring Binder
We create a 3-Ring Binder which we showcase in our Uxbridge Gallery and at all other BVAA art shows. It has a page per person with the artist’s statement and a representative artwork. This allows visitors to learn about every member in our organization – even the ones not participating in a given show.
