Judy Belben on Billboards
BVAA member Judy Belben’s photo was chosen by the Mass Cultural Council and Clear Channel to be rotated on billboards in eastern Massachusetts as part of an art promotion.

Franklin Art Assocation show
Congrats to our BVAA members who won prizes at the Franklin Art Association show!
Don Iacovelli got second place in acrylics for “Killa Hill”
Frank Robertson got an honorable mention in acrylics for “Poppy Field”
Karen Pendleton got an honorable mention in pastels/mixed for “Coyote”
Judy Belben got second place in photography for “Red Maple Leaf”
Don sold his piece, Frank sold many prints, and Wayne sold much if not all of his pottery.

Hopkinton Art Show Winners
Carol Frieswick had three pieces selected to participate in the Arts In Bloom show at Hopkinton’s Center for the Arts.
She got an honorable mention!

Show information:
Whitinsville Art and Antique Center
The BVAA has engaged in a partnership with Whitinsville Art and Antique Center located at 202 Church Street in Whitinsville. They have a section of their store that we will be able to use to sell artwork from and they are getting good traffic, especially at the weekends.
As this is not like our usual shows and the store would like to sell the items we are changing our system slightly.
- Opening reception Saturday 25th June, 2016
- Duration through end of September then change out for holiday season which will run through end of December
- Subject matter: Preference is for local interest and pictorial in nature.
- As this is not an exhibition, all items must be for sale
- Painting, photography, 2D and 3D artwork is accepted
- Maximum of three pieces
- Sales price to be less than $300
- Gallery will collect 30% commission
- Payment of sales tax is the responsibility of the artist
- All pieces to be wired and framed
- Depending upon the level of interest we may have to limit the number of participants
- Please send the following info to info@bvaa.org by 11th June
- Photo of your artwork in jpg format, maximum file size of 1MB

- Prices
- Dimensions
- Artists bio
- In the event that we do not have enough space then the BVAA and the store will determine which items to accept.
- If any pieces are rejected then the artist will be given preferential placement for the next session.
- We will advise whether your artwork has been accepted by 18th June
This looks like a great opportunity to sell artwork to the local community and we encourage everyone to participate.
Bridges Art Show at 6 Bridges Gallery
The 6 Bridges Gallery in Maynard, MA is having a show on the theme of “Bridges” – the submission deadline is Friday, May 13, 2016.
All styles of artwork is allowed except video.
You can submit up to 3 images. The fee is $15 for the first and $10 for items 2 and 3.
Accepted work is delivered June 19th.
The reception is July 9th.
Pickup is July 23rd.

The Premier Gallery in Ashland, MA is holding a special photography competition and exhibit from 8th May through 28th July, 2016. BVAA members are encouraged to exhibit.

Farming Show at Gallery 529
Gallery 529 in Littleton, MA is planning a “Farming” themed show to benefit the Littleton Community Farm.
Submissions must be sent in between May 1st and May 15th, 2016.
The artwork will be juried and the chosen artists notified on May 20th.
The opening reception is June 5 from 4-6pm.
