Claflin Hill Orchestra Shows 2016-2017

Once again the Blackstone Valley Art Association will be pairing up with Claflin Hill Symphony Orchestra to provide artistic beauty to go with each show! These art shows are “pop-up” shows in the sense that we hang the works the day before, the art is seen during the one-night orchestra concert, and then we take the art down the next day. The art show is free to participate in, is not judged, and we have seen sales at these events. It’s a great way to get your art seen by an art-appreciating audience.

Here are the show dates for the 2015-2016 season, along with the musical themes. Art brought to the shows do not need to match the theme, but we do find that patrons appreciate it when there’s a beautiful piece of art that goes with the music!

More details about each show will be added as we get closer.

Milford TV Sep-Oct 2016 – Cities

event-2016-09-milford

Every two months we rotate the show at the Milford TV Station. The drop-off for the upcoming September-October 2016 show on the theme of “Cities” is Thursday, August 25th from 6-8pm. We do these on the last Thursday of the month preceding the show.

This date is also the reception (and take down) for the existing “Summer” show. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend!

Please bring food or drink to share!

The Milford TV Station is at 138 South Main Street.

https://www.milfordtv.net/

The Milford people do the labels and hanging for us, so there is no need to use our online submission form to indicate what you’re bringing. Simply be sure to label the back of each piece with its title, your name, and the price. Milford does not take any commission on sales.

This show is for BVAA members only and is free to participate in. Most artists bring in three items but if you have more that’s great! The items can be any size or shape – Milford has a great hanging system which can accommodate pretty much anything.
