We had 18 pairings of artists and poets for our 2017 Art-Poetry Pairing exhibition at the Worcester Public Library. This show runs from March 1 to March 31, 2017. The hanging was Wednesday, March 1 from 6-8pm. The take-down is Friday, March 31, from 4:30 to 5:30pm.

Joining the Blackstone Valley Art Association artists are poets from the Sutton Writing Group and the Worcester Writers Collaborative.

Art and Poetry Pairing Show

Each artist gave the poet a visual work of art to interpret. At the same time, each poet wrote an original poem for the artist to interpret. These photos are from the Meet-The-Artist reception on Saturday, March 18th from 1-3pm.

Bonnie Frederico held a wonderful hands-on demo of Batik Watercolor last night at the BVAA monthly meeting. This is a very interesting technique involving building multiple layers of water color and wax. These photos attempt to show the process from start to finish!
