ArtsWorcester Show – Terra Firma

The next call to arts for ArtsWorcester, based in Worcester, MA, is for their Terra Firma show. The deadline for registration for this is Wednesday, April 27th, 2016.

From their email:

…….

For this members exhibition, ArtsWorcester seeks artwork that engages with our natural environment. While traditional approaches to landscape are welcome, we encourage works that move beyond notions of idealized landscape and the pastoral.

Please consider submitting:
• art that represents humanity’s impact on the planet
• art in dialogue with the fields of ecology, cartography, and biology
• art that considers how we commodify and market the earth
• art that depicts our simultaneous praise for and exploitation of natural resources.

…….

Milford TV Show / Green Theme

Every two months we rotate the show at the Milford TV Station. The drop-off for the upcoming March-April 2016 show on the theme of “Green” is Thursday, February 25th from 6-8pm. We do these on the last Thursday of the month preceding the show.

This date is also the reception (and take down) for the existing “Black and White”” show. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend!

Please bring food or drink to share!

The Milford TV Station is at 138 South Main Street.

The Milford people do the labels and hanging for us, so please use the online submission form to indicate what you’re bringing and also label the back of each piece with its information. This show is for BVAA members only and is free to participate in. Most artists bring in three items. They can be any size or shape – Milford has a great hanging system which can accommodate pretty much anything.

UPDATE: The theme for this show has been expanded to include all Spring topics. Please bring by additional artwork for the show!
