Here’s the full set of #FrostyStop photos of BVAA members taken at the Grafton Common Art Gallery during the 2017 Grafton Holiday Celebration. It was great fun!

Here are a few photos from the Tapestry Show opening reception on December 2, 2017. It was part of the Uxbridge First Holiday Night celebration. There was a barbershop quartet, Mark Seagrave – live caricature artist, a visit from Santa & Mrs. Claus, and lots of visitors! The place was packed!

The Blackstone Valley Art Association is sponsoring the 2018 Teen Self Expression Show – this show is open to the public! All styles of teen-created family-friendly artwork are warmly welcome!

BVAA Alternatives Uxbridge Community Art Gallery Information

Participation is FREE and is open to the public. The show is open to any person who is a teenager. Each participant may exhibit three pieces of artwork. These will be judged for cash prizes. A portion of all sales goes to support the work of Alternatives in the community.

Entering the Show
The show is completely free to enter. The artwork can be on any theme and in any medium.

Note that this show was originally created with a selfie theme. If you wish to bring in selfies, that is fine! For the selfies, if you wish for us to mat them for you, the photos should be 5×7 in size. Just bring in the 5×7 photo, unmatted and unframed. We will mat them to 8×10 and handle the rest. We have since expanded the theme, so other forms of artwork are now welcome as well.

Please check out our Show Terms and Conditions. Note that some of the conditions about framing and wiring do not apply to this show. If you simply wish to bring in 5×7 printed photos, that is fine, We can handle matting those for you. If you wish to bring in other forms of art that is framed and/or ready for display, that is fine too. Ask with any questions.

Submissions
To submit your entries use our BVAA Online Submission Form. The deadline to submit is 3pm on Saturday, February 24th, 2018. Work should be dropped off by Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 3pm. All work which is brought in will be hung (as long as it is family-friendly). Note that some of the flyers had a submission deadline of Monday, Feb 26th. – if you can’t make it by Saturday, contact us and we’ll arrange a later drop-off for you.

Judging
The teen self expression show awards cash prizes based on the number of entries received.

The judge for this show will be announced soon.

Opening Reception
The opening reception for the show is Friday, March 9th from 4-7pm. Invite family and friends – all are welcome!

Pick Up
Saturday, March 31st, 2018, from 10am to 3pm. If you aren’t able to make that, please contact us for other arrangements.
