Congratulations to the winners of our 2026 “Anything Goes” annual photography show! The judge for this show was Ron Rosenstock.
First Place: Dale Hoopingarner / Dahlings

Dale took this photo with a scanner with a black cloth over the top!
Judge notes: A very compelling photographs The image radiated out from the center. In all two-dimensional art, blacks recede giving the illusion bright areas dominate. I prefer the word Balance to composition and this image is perfectly balanced.
.
Second Place: Cheri Holland / “Submerged Flowers: Ethereal Bloom“

They are images of flowers submerged in a fish tank. They are attached to a heavy frog at the bottom. I use droppers with milk, to drop on the flowers to make the effect.
Judge notes: There is an ethereal quality to the interpretation of the flowers. You can feel the energy and beauty of nature in this image. The plain colored background is perfect for emphasizing the flowers.
.
Third Place: Michael Backunas / “Beach of Dreams, West Iceland”

Judge notes: An excellent balance of sand and tidal waters woven together in a tapestry of light.
.
Honorable Mention: Wendy Fulginiti / “A Walk in the Past”

Wendy took this photo at the Blithewold Mansion, Gardens & Arboretum with a Canon 90D.
Judge notes: Viewing the path through the forest gave me a strong sense of presence, of being on that path. No distracting elements, beautifully seen.
.
