Welcome to the new monthly public newsletter of the Blackstone Valley Art Association. In it you’ll hear about upcoming shows we’re presenting, public workshops we’re running, and interesting tidbits about the world of art in central Massachusetts. We’d love to hear feedback on this newsletter!

Anything Goes Photo Show
The 4th annual Anything Goes photo show is open to the public for submissions! Let family and friends know about this fun opportunity. This year we’re having both an open category and a film-only category. Feel free to submit to one or both! The deadline for online submission is Monday, January 11th and drop-off of artwork is Wednesday, January 13th. The opening reception will be Friday, January 15th from 4-7pm. Whether you’re a photographer or an art appreciator, join us!

Abstract / Night Photography Workshop
In conjunction with the Anything Goes show, our January 2016 meeting is fully open to the public and will be a workshop on abstract and night photography. Join us on Tuesday, January 19th from 6:30-9pm with your camera to learn more about these fun styles of photography!

Black and White
Stop by the Milford TV Station at 138 South Main Street in Milford to see our Black and White themed show. This show will be up through the end of February.

Animals Show
At the Uber Cafe in Mendon we have an “Animals” themed show going! Stop in here for some tasty sandwiches, coffee, and art in a relaxing environment.

From the Heart
Plan ahead! The Claflin Hill Symphony Orchestra has their “From the Heart” show on Saturday, February 6th, and the BVAA will provide the accompanying artwork! Get your tickets and come enjoy the combination of beautiful music and inspirational artwork.
